What PTE score do you need for Cardiff Metropolitan University?

All SELTs, PTE included, must be taken at a UKVI-approved secure test centre and be dated within two years of the course start date. That means booking PTE Academic UKVI rather than the standard or online test. The page does not mention combining PTE results.

Against IELTS, the 6.0 level is 6.0 with no component below 5.5, and the 6.5 level is 6.5 with 6.5 in reading and writing and 6.0 in the rest, which is why the PTE 62 row has a higher reading and writing floor.

The SELT page gives no pre-sessional PTE entry point. Cardiff Met also accepts some country-specific and other English qualifications, listed on its English language requirements pages.

For the Student visa itself, gov.uk asks for English equivalent to CEFR B2 at degree level or above and B1 below degree level, and says a university can assess degree-level applicants' English itself. Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles.
