Carleton PTE minimums by route

Test rules and how to send your score
Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a PTE validity period or how to send PTE results. The graduate calendar asks for an official score.
On the undergraduate page IELTS Academic is 6.5 with 6.0 in each band against PTE 55, and IELTS 5.0 with 4.5 in each band against PTE 31 for the ESL route. The graduate calendar pairs IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each band against PTE 60.

If you fall short
With an ESL requirement you take Academic ESL with a limited number of degree courses in your first terms, earning credits as you go. The page lists programmes you cannot enter this way, including Architectural Studies, Health Sciences, Information Technology, International Business, Journalism, Nursing and all post-baccalaureate diplomas. Graduate applicants can instead complete ESLA 1900 at Carleton with B- or higher.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Carleton programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
