What IELTS score do you need for Case Western Reserve University?

TOEFL, IELTS and PTE are valid for two years and must be met on one test date; scores are not superscored. Case Western does not accept Duolingo, IELTS Indicator, IELTS One Skill Retake, TOEFL Essentials or TOEFL MyBest. Art History, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry Entrepreneurship, Molecular and Cellular Biology of Disease and Organizational Behavior require more, such as IELTS 7.0 with PTE 68.

The test is waived if you completed a bachelor's or higher at a university where the primary medium of instruction was English, shown by a transcript or a letter from your school, or if your home country's primary spoken language is English. No country list is published and India is not named, but the language-of-instruction route is open to Indian graduates. Non-native speakers submit Duolingo (115), IELTS (7), PTE Academic (61) or TOEFL iBT (4.5, or 90 before 21 January 2026), officially or self-reported, with official reports confirmed on enrolment.
