What Duolingo score do you need for Chatham University?

All English test scores must be official and sent through the testing organisation; for Duolingo, choose Chatham University. Scores may not be more than two years old, and letters of English instruction are not accepted.

Students who studied in the US, UK, Canada (outside Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, Australia or an English-speaking Caribbean island may be exempt. Transfer students can meet the requirement with 24 credits or more at universities in those countries. MBA applicants need a professional transcript evaluation as well as a TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.5.

The page lists no conditional admission. Other accepted results include TOEFL 4.5 (79 for tests before 21 January 2026), PTE 53, iTEP 3.8, ACTFL Low Advanced, Cambridge C1 and GTEC 1176.
