What PTE score do you need for CQUniversity?

Your results are valid if no more than two years have lapsed between the final examination result date and the date you start study. CQUniversity assesses every student individually and says other equivalent English preparation, or combinations of English preparation, will be considered.

Neither the page nor the table mentions PTE Academic Online or a Pearson institution code. CQUniversity does not list PTE Core. Pearson's PTE Core FAQ says PTE Core is initially only suitable for work and migration visa routes to Canada and that PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

For comparison, the same table sets IELTS Academic 5.5 (no band below 5.0) for diplomas, 6.0 (no band below 5.5) for degrees and 6.5 (no band below 6.0) for research.

The lower PTE 46 entry point for foundation, certificate and diploma courses is one route in; the table notes these students take further communications and language study as part of their degree. Other tests such as ISLPR need approval from CQUniversity's international admissions team in consultation with the CQUEnglish team.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CQUniversity programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
