DePaul TOEFL minimums by level
From the freshman international admission page, the graduate international admission page, the College of Computing and Digital Media page and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

How DePaul handles TOEFL scores
DePaul's ETS institution code is 1165 for both undergraduate and graduate applicants. The freshman page says TOEFL scores are valid for two years and older scores are not accepted. It also accepts the revised TOEFL Paper-delivered Test at 59 overall with no subsection below 17.
The CDM page says DePaul accepts both versions of the TOEFL iBT. Scores on the old 0 to 120 scale from tests taken before 21 January 2026 stay valid for two years, so they are accepted through 20 January 2028.

If your TOEFL score is below DePaul's level
The graduate admission page says DePaul offers conditional admission in select disciplines to applicants whose academic record qualifies them but whose TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score is below the required level. Graduate applicants with a US bachelor's, master's or PhD from a regionally accredited institution have the TOEFL requirement waived once DePaul receives the US transcripts.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your DePaul programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
