How Marquette handles TOEFL scores

The Graduate School's Designated Institution (DI) code is 1448. Its page says test scores may not be more than two years old, and that programmes needing higher TOEFL minimums state them in their own application requirements.

For comparison, the undergraduate page asks for IELTS 6.5 or higher in each section, and the graduate page sets IELTS at 6.5 or higher for each section.

If your TOEFL score is below Marquette's level

Undergraduate applicants who meet every requirement except English can request conditional admission when they submit their other materials. It becomes full admission once Marquette receives qualifying English evidence. The English study needed for full admission cannot be done at Marquette, so you would apply separately to an English programme, which issues its own I-20.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Marquette programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
