Eckerd treats proof of English proficiency scores as official documents. The page does not state a Duolingo validity period or subscore rule.
Other routes include SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT combined English and Reading 43, ELS Level 112, AP English Language 4 or 5, and IB Higher Level English A at 5 or a predicted IB score of 32.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at 6.5 overall.

If your Duolingo score is below Eckerd's level
Eckerd offers conditional admission to students who meet every requirement except English proficiency. You must then provide proof of English proficiency before Eckerd can offer full admission, a potential scholarship and the I-20.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Eckerd programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
