How Edge Hill handles Duolingo scores
Your test certificate must be within its period of validity. Edge Hill may ask for a UKVI-accepted SELT if a qualification was taken 10 or more years ago.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS 6.0 with no element below 5.5 for undergraduates and 6.5 with no element below 6.0 for taught master's.

If your Duolingo score is below the line
Edge Hill runs pre-sessional English programmes, but its entry table for them lists UKVI-approved SELTs only, such as IELTS for UKVI with a score half a band below your degree's level. Duolingo is not listed for pre-sessional entry.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Edge Hill programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
