Validity, PTE and Duolingo

The MiM page says the Cambridge, IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL scores are valid for two years. PTE Academic and Duolingo are not mentioned on either page, so do not plan on them without asking ESCP first.

The MiM page does not set out an English-medium degree exemption. The "Join a School in France" route accepts the same tests but does not list minimum scores.

Deadlines for the 2027 intake

ESCP is accepting applications for September 2027. Direct Admissions round 1 closed on 22 October 2026; the next rounds close on 14 January 2027 and 11 March 2027, with a fourth round on 4 May 2027 only for applicants whose prior studies were outside France. ESCP notes that dates may change.

ESCP's London campus publishes its own requirements; see the ESCP London guide.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your ESCP programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.

Minimum vs competitive score

Where ESCP Business School publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.

Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.

If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
