What PTE score do you need for Fulbright University Vietnam?

The list names "Pearson PTE (Academic)" at 46 and notes that test scores must be dated within two years before the official enrolment date. It does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core and gives no Pearson sending instructions. Other English scores may be accepted case by case at the Admissions Committee's discretion.

On the same list, IELTS Academic and IELTS Indicator need 6.0, TOEFL iBT needs 70 (or 4.0 on the 2026 scale) and the Duolingo English Test needs 95. The admissions FAQ says you do not have to send an English certificate when you apply, but you must meet the requirement before your application can be evaluated.

If you have not met the requirement when you apply, Fulbright lets you send an eligible score later, in a period the Admissions Committee announces, or take the Cambridge English Placement Test that Fulbright runs free of charge. The FAQ says you need at least CEFR B2 on that test.

You are exempt if you are a native English speaker or have completed at least two consecutive years of high school, university or college education entirely in English.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Fulbright programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
