What PTE score do you need for Gdańsk University of Technology?

The master's list reads "PTE Academic - online or stationary version - min. 59 points", so PTE Academic Online is accepted. PTE Core is not mentioned. The same Pearson box also lists the Pearson English International Certificate (a different test, sometimes called PTE General) at Level 3 or above; do not confuse the two. The page gives no validity period or Pearson code; you upload a scan of the certificate through eRekrutacja.

On the same list, IELTS is 5.5 and TOEFL iBT is 72 for tests before 21 January 2026, or 4 for later tests.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

Master's applicants are exempt if their bachelor's university confirms the language of instruction was exclusively English, or if they hold a certificate entitling them to work as a sworn English translator. For bachelor's entry, IB and EB diploma holders and those with a qualifying preparatory course of at least nine months at B2 or above are exempt.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Gdańsk Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
