What TOEFL score do you need for Georgia Tech?

Graduate applicants may test at an authorised centre or take the TOEFL Home Edition. Send scores to Georgia Institute of Technology, "Graduate", institute code 5248. A score is valid for two years from the test date and must not expire before the start of the term you intend to enrol in.

The graduate page lists TOEFL Essentials, IELTS General Training, Duolingo and PTE as not accepted.

For comparison, the same graduate page sets IELTS Academic at 7 with Reading, Listening and Speaking 6.5 and Writing 5.5.

The graduate page does not describe conditional admission. Other routes it lists are a post-secondary degree from an approved country and an approved University System of Georgia campus-based ESL programme. Undergraduates, beyond meeting the system requirement, may add the Duolingo English Test or an unscripted interview through InitialView or Vericant as supplementary evidence.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Georgia Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
