What Duolingo score do you need for Grand Valley State University?

GVSU asks you to submit Duolingo results directly from the Duolingo portal by searching "Grand Valley State University". For graduate applicants, all scores must come from the testing service and unofficial scores are not accepted.

Undergraduates are exempt with a US diploma or degree, 30 or more US college credits with C or higher in college English, two years at an accredited US high school, or citizenship of a listed exempt country.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at 6.5 for both levels.

The page does not describe conditional admission or an English pathway. Undergraduates can instead use Cambridge English 180, PTE 53, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 470, ACT English 15, AP English Language 3, IB 5 or the Michigan English Test at 52.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your GVSU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
