Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Accra?

Pearson's appointment finder, linked from its test centres and fees page, listed one PTE centre in Accra on 30 October 2026: Linear Assessment Services Ltd. The only other centre in Ghana is ACE Consult Limited in Kumasi.

Pearson's appointment finder shows centres that have PTE Academic slots; it does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. In myPTE, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then the city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Read on 29 and 30 October 2026 in the British Council's booking system, IDP's Accra listings and Pearson's price finder. Standard IELTS costs the same at both providers. Pearson prices PTE in US dollars, so your card's exchange rate sets the cedi amount.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Accra and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Bring the identity document you registered with.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your passport, choose the test, then a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for every PTE test; an alternative ID is possible only for citizens testing at home in countries on its exceptions list, so check that list before relying on a national ID card.

Results: both IELTS providers list results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test to check you are ready.
