Where can I take PTE in Ghana?

With one centre per city, popular dates can fill, so book early and use the free reschedule window (more than 14 days before the test) as your buffer. If you live in the north, Kumasi is the closer of the two; from Tema or the Western Region, Accra is usually easier.

If you need a test outside Accra and Kumasi, IELTS has wider coverage in Ghana: the British Council also runs it in Tema, Takoradi and Tamale. See IELTS test centres in Ghana. One warning for nurses: the NMC accepts only IELTS Academic and OET, so PTE cannot be used for UK nursing registration, even though PTE Academic UKVI works for UK visas. Compare the options in OET vs PTE for nurses.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.
