Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Kisumu?

Pearson lists four PTE locations in Kenya and names Nairobi, Mombasa and Uasin Gishu. Kisumu is not named, so plan on Eldoret (Uasin Gishu County) or Nairobi, and confirm in myPTE before booking travel. PTE Academic costs USD 260.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Kisumu and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Register with the identity document you will bring on test day, and bring that same document.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then your city, a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport, and a passport is the only ID accepted if you test outside your country of citizenship; check its exceptions list before relying on a national ID card.

Results: both IELTS booking systems show results in 1 to 5 days for IELTS on computer, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
