How to book, what ID to bring, and when results arrive
IELTS: Book British Council IELTS in its booking system, or IDP IELTS on IDP's test-date pages. The venue address comes in your confirmation. Results for IELTS on computer usually arrive within 1 to 5 days.
PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport; check its country exceptions list before you book. A MyKad will not do for PTE. Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring).
Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test to check you are ready.
