Where can I take PTE in Malaysia?

Greater Kuala Lumpur has four of the seven centres, so it offers the most slots. Penang, Johor Bahru and Kuching have one each, and there was no listed centre in Ipoh, Melaka or anywhere in Sabah; test takers in Kota Kinabalu would need to travel or choose IELTS, which runs there. Rescheduling is free while more than 14 days remain.

Pick the test before the centre: PTE Academic for study and most migration, PTE Academic UKVI only if a UK visa asks for a SELT, PTE Core for Canadian immigration. Our PTE Academic vs PTE Core guide explains the difference.

To book, create a myPTE account, choose the test, pick a centre and a slot at least 24 hours ahead, and pay. Pearson accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa, and a voucher or promo code is entered at the payment step (Pearson booking guide). Your account name must match your passport exactly; it can be corrected up to 3 days before the test, never on test day, and a mismatch means no test and no refund.

The fee is the same at every centre. See PTE exam fee in Malaysia for prices and refund rules, and take a free PTE mock test before you choose a date.
