How much is the IELTS exam fee in Kazakhstan?

The timing is the same with both providers, but the fee you lose is not. IDP refunds 75% if you cancel 15 or more days before the test and charges up to 25% of the fee to transfer within 5 to 14 days (IDP policy). IDP notes the policy covers IELTS on computer and not IELTS for UKVI, so ask your centre about UKVI and paper bookings. The British Council keeps a flat KZT 33,000 administration fee for both a cancellation 15 or more days out and a transfer within 5 to 14 days, and allows up to 5 transfers per registration (British Council policy). Inside 14 days neither refunds, and neither transfers inside 5 days.

IELTS for UKVI with the British Council has its own scale (UKVI policy): 75% back more than 14 days out, 50% within 14 days but more than two days out, 25% within two days, and nothing on test day. The British Council takes Visa or Mastercard online when you register, payment through the Kaspi app, or a bank transfer through its partners; it freezes payments from banks under UK or other sanctions (British Council). You upload a scan of your ID when you register. Results on computer arrive in 1 to 2 days, Life Skills in up to 7 days, and five extra Test Report Forms are free, then KZT 5,000 each (results page).
