IELTS fee by country (IELTS on computer)
The table shows the standard fee for IELTS Academic and General Training on computer, which cost the same in every country we checked. Each figure was read on 6 October 2026 on the provider's own page, linked in the last column. Where IDP and the British Council charge the same, both are named; where they differ, both prices are shown.
Fees can vary by city or centre, and some centres charge more for IELTS on computer with Writing on Paper: for example GHS 4,090 instead of GHS 3,720 at IDP Accra, and EGP 11,220 instead of EGP 10,200 at IDP Egypt. In the USA, ielts.org notes fees may be subject to local tax (ielts.org). Always check the price shown when you book.

UKVI, Life Skills, One Skill Retake and other IELTS fees
IELTS for UKVI usually costs a little more than the standard test, and Life Skills less. One Skill Retake, date transfers and re-marks are charged separately. The table below gives three IDP examples, read on 6 October 2026 (IDP India, IDP UAE, IDP Vietnam).
One Skill Retake lets you resit one section of an IELTS on computer test, once, within 60 days of the original test (ielts.org). An Enquiry on Results (re-mark) fee is fully refunded if your band score changes (ielts.org). You can cancel at any time before the test, but the refund depends on how close the test is, and you can transfer once to a date within three months. Book with the provider that runs the test centre you want: IDP or the British Council in most countries, IDP only in India since 25 July 2021 (British Council India), and IELTS USA in the United States. The ielts.org test centre finder lists every centre by country, and many centre pages show the fee with a booking link.
IDP Canada says the exact price is shown during registration, so treat any table, including this one, as a guide and confirm the amount before you pay (IDP Canada).

Only part of it in most cases, depending on how close the test is. A re-mark fee is refunded in full if your band score changes.
