IELTS fees in Lebanon
British Council figures come from its booking page, UKVI page and dates, fees and locations page. IDP also runs IELTS in Lebanon through Netcom Systems in Beirut and Zalka, but its online finder showed no bookable sessions and no fee on 13 October 2026, so ask the centre for its price.
The British Council says all IELTS tests in Lebanon are delivered on computer from 1 March 2026; parts of its site still describe paper-based centres, and its UKVI fee line still says paper and computer. Its booking system listed computer-delivered sessions only.

How to pay for IELTS in Lebanon
The British Council accepts US dollars only. You can pay online when registering, or in cash at any WHISH Money branch, at its offices in Beirut Digital District (Bachoura), or at any BLOM or ARAB bank branch. At a bank, give the teller your name and test reference number, then email the receipt. At WHISH Money the agent records your test details, name and mobile number.
To register you need a passport that will not expire before the test, or a national ID card if you are Lebanese, Syrian or Palestinian (civil registers are not accepted). Bring the same original document on test day. A British Council booking includes free IELTS Ready Premium (40 practice tests and lessons) and five extra Test Report Forms sent free to the institutions you apply to.

Transfer, cancellation and refund rules in Lebanon
IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills follow the IELTS partners' UKVI policy at both providers: 75% back more than 14 days before, 50% within 14 days but more than two days before, 25% within two days, and nothing on or after test day. The British Council's country pages we read link only the UKVI cancellation policy, so for standard IELTS check the terms shown in your booking confirmation or Test Taker Portal before you cancel.
IDP's rules for standard IELTS are on its Lebanon reschedule and cancel page: a transfer is free 15 or more days before your Listening, Reading and Writing date, costs up to 25% of the fee within 5 to 14 days, and is not allowed within 4 days. Cancel 15 or more days ahead and you get 75% back; within 14 days the fee is not refunded. IDP notes these rules exclude IELTS for UKVI and that a centre may add local policies.

How to spend less on IELTS in Lebanon
If one skill lets you down, One Skill Retake at USD 170 costs USD 100 less than a full new test; it must be taken within 60 days (One Skill Retake guide). Book IELTS for UKVI (USD 25 more) only if your UK visa or course asks for it (IELTS for UKVI vs Academic).
