What the IELTS providers list for Syria
IDP's Syria test centre finder shows two Damascus centres for IELTS on computer, with booking online or at its Damascus office. Its Damascus session list returned no sessions for any test type, including UKVI and Life Skills, so there was no fee to read. The official ielts.org finder showed 0 results for Syria.
The British Council's Syria dates page says it does not offer IELTS in Syria at present and that you can register and sit the test at one of its regional centres in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey or Iraq. It advises registering at least two months before your preferred date, because seats go to whoever books first.

Cancellation rules if a Damascus date opens
IDP's Syria reschedule and cancel page carries IDP's standard rules: a free transfer 15 or more days before the test, up to 25% within 5 to 14 days, none within 4 days, and a 75% refund for cancelling 15 or more days ahead. IDP adds that local policies may apply, and its Damascus centre pages still carry an older rule (a refund minus an admin fee only if you cancel more than five weeks ahead), so confirm the terms in writing before you pay.
