IELTS fees in Namibia
The fee is on the ielts.org centre pages for the British Council's Windhoek venue, the Namibia Institute of Public Administration, which lists Academic and General Training on computer at NAD 6,700 each. The British Council's Namibia IELTS site says it offers test dates in Windhoek. IDP does not run IELTS in Namibia. The fee includes IELTS Ready Premium preparation materials and free practice tests, and your booking email confirms the test time, venue and Speaking slot.

If you need a UK visa test
Standard IELTS is not a Secure English Language Test, so UK visa routes that need a SELT need IELTS for UKVI or another approved test. On 14 October 2026 the British Council's Namibian UKVI page did not exist and ielts.org listed no UKVI test in Namibia.
The options are to travel (IELTS for UKVI costs ZAR 6,620 at the British Council in South Africa and BWP 5,050 in Gaborone) or to sit PTE Academic UKVI in Windhoek for USD 280; see PTE exam fee in Namibia. Transfer, cancellation and refund rules
Standard IELTS follows the British Council's Namibia cancellation, refund and transfer policy; you cancel or transfer in the Test Taker Portal. Illness, bereavement and other exceptional circumstances can be raised with the test centre before the test or up to two calendar days after it, never once results are out. The centre replies within seven working days, and refunds can take 4 to 6 weeks.
