IELTS fees in Azerbaijan by provider
IDP's fee is read from its live Baku sessions, all at AZN 575; IDP publishes no separate fee table for Azerbaijan. British Council figures come from its UKVI page and the session listings behind its dates, fees and locations page, which showed AZN 575 in Baku, Nakhchivan and Sumgayit. Neither provider shows tax as a separate line.
The British Council also runs IELTS Online, the Academic test taken at home, but its IELTS Online page gives no fee and says it is not accepted by immigration authorities, so use it only for a university that confirms it accepts it.

Transfer, cancellation and refund rules
For standard IELTS both providers use the same scale (IDP policy, British Council policy). Cancel 15 or more days before the test for a 75% refund; within 14 days the fee is not refunded. Transfers are free 15 or more days out, cost 25% of the fee between 5 and 14 days (IDP says up to 25%), and are not allowed closer than that. The British Council says refunds can take 4 to 6 weeks.
IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills follow a separate British Council scale (UKVI policy): 75% back more than 14 days out, 50% within 14 days but more than two days out, 25% within two days, and nothing on test day. IDP refunds a One Skill Retake in full if you cancel 72 hours or more before it. See our IELTS cancel, reschedule and refund guide.

How to pay and book IELTS in Azerbaijan
The British Council takes card payment in its online booking system or a bank transfer quoting your name, test date and payment reference; for an offline payment you email your registration documents with the receipt. You upload a scan of your ID when you register, and it freezes payments from banks under UK or other sanctions (British Council). It also lists partner registration centres in Baku and at Nakhchivan State University that help with booking.
IDP books online or at an IDP branch with a scan of your passport and a credit card (IDP). Results on computer take 1 to 2 days with the British Council and 1 to 5 days at IDP; IELTS for UKVI takes up to 13 days and Life Skills up to 7 (British Council results). Take a free IELTS mock test before you pay.
