IELTS test cities in Azerbaijan by provider
City lists come from IDP's test centre finder, the British Council's dates, fees and locations page and the ielts.org test centre finder for Azerbaijan, read on 10 October 2026. The British Council says all its IELTS on computer sessions in Baku, and all Speaking tests, take place at one venue, AGA Business Center. We leave out street addresses; check the finder when you book.
| City | IDP | British Council |
|---|---|---|
| Baku | Yes, one centre (Barattson), with One Skill Retake | Yes, one venue, including UKVI and Life Skills |

| Anywhere, online | Not listed | IELTS Online (Academic only, not for visas) |
How to choose a centre
For a UK visa you must sit IELTS for UKVI or Life Skills at the British Council in Baku, since no other Azerbaijani venue is UKVI approved on ielts.org. For universities and for Australia, New Zealand and Canada, standard IELTS Academic or General Training at any of the three cities works, and the fee is the same AZN 575 everywhere.
In Baku, compare dates at both providers before you book. Both offer One Skill Retake on computer within 60 days of your test, with the same provider. Outside Baku, the British Council is the only option, and its Nakhchivan venue saves the trip to the capital.
