How much is the IELTS exam fee in the Maldives?

The British Council charges an MVR 875 administration fee to cancel and the same to transfer (Maldives page). The transfer fee is paid by online bank transfer to the British Council's MVR account at Bank of Ceylon in Malé (ATM, CDM and EasyPay payments are refused), then you email the slip and a passport copy and complete the online form. Only one transfer is allowed per booking, and the new date must be at least 10 days after you apply and within three months of the original date.

Once you have sat any part of the test, no refund is possible, though you may still ask about a transfer. If the fee rose after you booked, a transfer means paying the difference. Our IELTS cancel, reschedule and refund guide explains the usual rules.

Choose Academic or General Training, pick a date in the British Council system, and pay the fee online to confirm. Book with a passport that stays valid until after your Speaking test, and bring it on test day; under-18s need written consent from a parent or guardian.
