What the British Council says
The British Council's Dominican Republic page says it is not currently offering in-person IELTS tests in the Dominican Republic, and points candidates to IELTS Online. The ielts.org finder agrees, with IELTS Online as its only result. For the same reason this site has no IELTS test centres guide for the Dominican Republic.
IELTS Online is the Academic test taken at home, with the Speaking test by video call. The British Council's IELTS Online page says it is for candidates aged 18 or over with a valid passport, that results arrive in six to eight calendar days, and that it is not accepted by immigration authorities. Its fee is not published on that page.
