How much is the IELTS exam fee in Bangladesh?

The two providers' deadlines line up, but IDP publishes its transfer fees in taka. IDP allows transfers twice per booking, to a date within 3 months, and refunds are processed within 15 working days after approval (IDP policy). The British Council handles transfers and cancellations in its Test Taker portal and says refunds can take 4 to 6 weeks; its UKVI tests follow a separate policy page (British Council policy).

Illness, bereavement and similar emergencies are handled as exceptional circumstances with evidence. IDP asks for the request within 4 days of the test date; the British Council accepts it up to two calendar days after the test. More detail is in our IELTS cancel, reschedule and refund guide.

The British Council takes the widest range of local payment methods: Mastercard, Visa or Amex cards, DBBL Nexus, bKash and Rocket online, Standard Chartered branches or its IELTS registration centres, and it offers 0% instalments over three months through participating banks. Payment is due when you book or within 24 hours. You can register with a passport or a smart national ID card, except for UKVI, which needs a passport (British Council).

IDP takes Visa or Mastercard online or cash at an IDP office, needs a colour passport scan under 1.5 MB, and puts a booking on hold if payment is not made within two days (IDP). Every attempt costs the full fee, so practise free before you pay the fee.
