IELTS fees in the Philippines by provider
Both providers charge the same for every test both offer. Figures come from IDP's registration guide (prices "as of July 15, 2026"), its live Manila sessions and One Skill Retake page, and from the British Council's booking page. Neither lists tax as a separate line.
The British Council says that from 21 June 2026 all its IELTS tests are delivered on computer. IDP still runs Life Skills on paper; its Manila sessions showed Life Skills A1 and B1 on paper at PHP 11,260. One IDP page still quotes older prices (PHP 12,720 for IELTS), so trust the booking screen and the registration guide, not that FAQ.
| Test | IDP | British Council |

| IELTS Academic or General Training on computer | PHP 14,470 | PHP 14,470 |
| IELTS Academic Online (from home) | Not listed | PHP 14,470 |

Transfer, cancellation and refund rules
The British Council's rules for IELTS Academic and General Training are on its cancellation page: 75% back if you cancel 15 or more days before the test (a 25% admin fee is kept), nothing within 14 days. Transfers are free 15 or more days out, cost 25% between 5 and 14 days, and are refused under 5 days. Refunds can take 4 to 6 weeks, and UKVI tests follow a separate policy.
IDP's registration guide describes different terms: one date change per booking, more than 14 days ahead, to a date within three months, for PHP 1,000. It lists refunds of 75% more than 14 days out, 50% from 14 to two days, 25% within two days, and none on or after test day. A medical certificate must reach IDP within five days of a missed test. See our IELTS cancel, reschedule and refund guide.
