What IELTS has said
The IELTS score corrections page states that IELTS 'identified an issue which led to a small proportion of test takers receiving incorrect results between August 2023 and September 2025'. It says the 'vast majority of IELTS tests, over 99 percent, were unaffected'.
IELTS does not publish a list of affected test dates or centres on that page. Contact was made directly with each affected person.

How to check whether it applies to you
Search the email account you used to book IELTS, including spam folders, for a message from IELTS about corrected results. If there is none, the official position is that your result was correct and stands.
If you have further questions, the ielts.org page directs test takers to the customer support team at ieltsresultsupport.org.

If your result was updated
IELTS says affected test takers were given updated results. Organisations check results through the IELTS Results Service by TRF number. If you already used the old score in an application, tell the university or authority and give them the updated result, since they may verify it.
This correction is separate from an Enquiry on Results, the paid remark that IELTS says you can apply for within six weeks of your test date (ielts.org).
