What IELTS score do you need for IHE Delft Institute for Water Education?

No certificate is needed for nationals of listed countries, whose earlier education was taught in English and finished with a bachelor's degree (a master's for PhD applicants). The list includes India, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal are not on it, so applicants from those countries should plan to sit a test.

IHE Delft also accepts TOEIC (both Listening and Reading and Speaking and Writing; the institutional test is not accepted) and Cambridge grades for the MSc routes. The ITP and the paper-delivered revised TOEFL iBT are not accepted, and TOEFL Home Edition is taken only in exceptional situations such as closed test centres.

A university English proficiency statement does not replace the required test.

IHE Delft says applicants to the regular MSc in Water and Sustainable Development and to the joint master's programmes should aim for IELTS 6.5 or higher, because the coursework is demanding. Joint programmes can set different requirements, so read the page of the programme you are applying to.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your IHE Delft programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
