How Ithaca handles Duolingo scores
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit official results of an English proficiency test. Undergraduates who attended a high school, college or university teaching mainly in English and earned passing grades in English courses for at least three years are exempt.
The undergraduate page notes there are no university or college codes for IELTS, PTE Academic or the Duolingo English Test, unlike TOEFL and SAT, which use code 2325.
For comparison, both the undergraduate and graduate pages recommend IELTS 6.0.

If your Duolingo score is below Ithaca's level
Neither page describes conditional admission or an English pathway. The undergraduate page asks applicants to contact the Office of Admission with questions about English certification.
