How IU Indianapolis handles Duolingo scores
The placement tests page says undergraduate and graduate students admitted with a Duolingo score must take the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) test. Depending on the result, you may need EAP courses alongside your degree courses for one or two semesters, and you cannot graduate without completing required EAP courses. You cannot submit updated test scores after admission to avoid the EAP test.
Luddy applicants upload a copy of their test score report in the documents section of the online application.

If your Duolingo score is below IU Indianapolis's level
Both requirement pages list the IU Indianapolis Program for Intensive English (PIE) as another way in: Level 5 for undergraduates and Level 7 for graduate applicants. ELS completion (Level 109 undergraduate, Level 112 graduate) is also listed.
