Test rules and how to report your score
The graduate page lists school codes for TOEFL (1325) but gives no Pearson code, and it does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a validity period for PTE.
On the same graduate page IELTS (including IELTS Online) needs 6.5 and TOEFL iBT 79, so PTE 54 is set against IELTS 6.5.

If you fall short
The graduate page also accepts Level 7 of the Program for Intensive English or Level 112 at any US ELS centre. Some options require the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) placement test before classes begin, and depending on the result you may take EAP courses alongside your major for one or two semesters.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your IU Indianapolis programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
