Test rules and how to report your score
The table names PTE Academic with an online or at-home option. Results must be on an official test transcript or score report no more than two years old, and copies are checked through a verification service. The JWU Designated Institution code, 3465, is given for TOEFL; no Pearson code is printed. PTE Core is not mentioned.
In the same table IELTS needs 6.0 for undergraduates and 6.5 for graduates, so PTE 53 covers both IELTS levels at JWU.

If you fall short
JWU can exempt students from individual ESL classes based on section scores, and it may require ESL classes in a weak area regardless of the total score. ESL courses run at the Providence campus only. JWU also considers other English test results and English-medium study shown on transcripts.
