What Duolingo score do you need for Kentucky State University?

The graduate admission page tells applicants to use the official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo websites to send scores directly to graduate.studies@kysu.edu. Neither page gives a Duolingo validity period or subscore rule.

Scores are not required if English is your native or official language, your degree was taught in English, you hold a degree from a US institution or English-speaking country, or you completed an ESL programme.

For comparison, the international requirements page sets IELTS at 6.0 for undergraduate and graduate applicants.

Applicants who meet KSU's academic requirements but not the language level may be granted conditional admission through the KSU International Bridge Pathway and placed in KSU's ESL programme. After completing the English courses, students move into a degree programme without needing a test score.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kentucky State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
