What PTE score do you need for King's Own Institute (KOI)?

KOI says results for IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and CAE are valid for two years. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, combining sittings or a Pearson institution code, and notes that school or other qualifications do not meet the English requirement for its TESOL programs.

KOI's page does not list PTE Core. Pearson's PTE Core FAQ says PTE Core is initially only suitable for work and migration visa routes to Canada and that PTE Academic is the test accepted for university study.

For comparison, the same table sets Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band below 5.5 for diplomas and undergraduate degrees, and 6.5 with no band below 6.0 for postgraduate study. General Training IELTS is not accepted.

KOI says applicants who do not meet its English requirements are usually advised to take an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) or English for Academic Purposes (EAP), which you must arrange independently. Completing Certificate IV or higher in Australia for 12 months or more is another route for undergraduate entry.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your KOI programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
