What TOEFL score do you need for KTH?

University Admissions in Sweden, which checks English for Swedish universities, accepts the TOEFL iBT, the Home Edition and the Paper Edition, but not TOEFL ITP, MyBest scores, Institutional TOEFL, TOEFL Essentials or Examinee Score Records. It verifies scores online, which it says is possible for up to two years after the test date. On the same page, English 6 is 90 with 20 in the written test for results up to 20 January 2026, or 4.5 with no section below 4 from 21 January 2026; English 7 is 100 with 20 in writing, or 5 with no section below 4.5.

KTH says you may also meet the requirement through upper secondary or university studies, depending on the country where you studied.

On KTH's page, the matching IELTS example is an overall score of 6.5.

KTH's page describes no conditional offer or pre-sessional English route; you need to meet English 6 by the documentation deadline. Each programme's specific requirements are listed from the same page.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your KTH programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
