LJMU PTE minimum
From LJMU's international entry requirements page. LJMU says the information is guidance only and it may change the evidence it accepts.
| Test | PTE overall | Minimum per component |
|---|---|---|
| Pearson PTE Academic UKVI (SELT) | 61 | 59 |
| Pearson PTE Academic | 61 | 59 |
PTE rules at LJMU
LJMU lists both PTE versions at the same minimum. The page does not state a PTE validity period or say whether PTE Academic Online is accepted. Its restriction for students from Pakistan names LanguageCert, Pearson Versant and ELLT; PTE Academic is not on that list.
Against IELTS, LJMU's minimum is IELTS Academic for UKVI or IELTS Online at 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each component, the level PTE 61 (59) sits beside on the same page.

If your PTE score falls short
LJMU runs a pre-sessional English language programme and foundation years. The entry requirements page does not give PTE entry scores for them.
For the Student visa itself, gov.uk asks for English equivalent to CEFR B2 at degree level or above and B1 below degree level, and says a university can assess degree-level applicants' English itself. Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your LJMU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
