How London Met handles Duolingo scores

Both pages say an international student who needs a Student visa must take a Secure English Language Test (SELT), and the tables are headed as SELT minimums. Duolingo appears in those tables, so ask admissions whether it meets the requirement for your visa situation.

If you hold a conditional offer, upload your official test certificate when you get your results, and London Met will verify it.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each component as the standard level.

If your Duolingo score is below the line

London Met runs a Pre-sessional Academic English course for students just below the level for a postgraduate degree. It also accepts IGCSE English Second Language at grade C/4 and set International Baccalaureate English grades.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your London Met programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
