What PTE score do you need for LUT University?

The master's page accepts PTE Academic, PTE Academic Online and PTE Academic for UKVI, and says subtests from different test sittings may be combined. Results are valid for two years from the test date and must stay valid for at least 15 days after you submit the application. You must share PTE results electronically through your personal test account so LUT can verify them; upload the result when you apply or within your seven-day supplementary deadline. PTE Core is not mentioned.

On the master's page IELTS Academic is 6.5 and the new TOEFL iBT 4.5. On the bachelor's page IELTS Academic or IELTS Online is 6.0 with 5.5 in writing, against PTE 60. The bachelor's page read on 2 Nov 2026 still showed 2025 application dates, so confirm the current round with Admissions Services.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

For master's, a higher education degree completed in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK or the USA also proves English, as does a degree completed in Finnish or Swedish in Finland. LUT says certificates of English proficiency and statements of English as the language of instruction are not accepted on their own.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your LUT programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
