What PTE score do you need for MUIC?

MUIC asks for an original official and electronic score with at least two years' validity. For PTE Academic, order the score through Pearson and share it with MUIC; the page lists institution codes for TOEFL and IELTS but none for PTE. It advises ordering electronic scores before the application period, as processing takes about 10 days. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.

On the same page, PTE 50 (Writing 50) sits beside IELTS Academic 6.0 with Writing 6.0 and TOEFL iBT 69 with Writing 22 (Writing equivalent to 4.5 for tests from 21 January 2026).

The overseas students page does not describe conditional admission or an English pathway, so a Writing score below 50 means retaking PTE or using another listed test. Writing is the one skill MUIC sets a floor for, so it is the section to prepare hardest.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your MUIC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
