How MetFilm School handles Duolingo scores

Duolingo results must be no more than two years old. The scores are the school's standard minimums, and some courses ask for slightly more, so check your course page.

The page says Cert HE applicants who need a Student Visa must take a Secure English Language Test (SELT), such as IELTS for UKVI, and that no alternative qualifications are accepted for those courses.

For comparison, the same page asks for IELTS Academic 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each element for undergraduate degrees and 6.5 with no less than 5.5 for postgraduate.

If your Duolingo score is below the minimum

The page lists INTO and Oxford International Digital Institute pre-sessional courses as accepted alternatives, with their own exit scores. Nationals of majority English-speaking countries, as defined by the Home Office, and some degree holders taught in English do not need a test for undergraduate or postgraduate courses.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your MetFilm School programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
