What PTE score do you need for Monash University?

The same page lists both Pearson Test of English (Academic) and Pearson Test of English (Academic) UKVI as accepted tests. It does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core, so do not assume either is accepted.

Monash applies a time limit rather than a fixed two years: the English measure must have been completed within three years before your course start date. If you have several English results inside that window, Monash takes the highest. People who have lived and worked in an English-speaking country since the test may be able to extend the limit with a reference letter.

Against IELTS, the page puts PTE 58 (no skill below 50) beside IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in reading, listening, writing and speaking.

Monash says international students who meet every other entry requirement but fall short on their English test can consider completing Monash English before starting the degree. Monash College also runs foundation and diploma pathways with their own PTE entry scores.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Monash programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
