What TOEFL score do you need for Montana Tech?

The undergraduate table counts both the TOEFL iBT and the At-Home Edition, including MyBest scores. Graduate applicants must ask ETS to send official scores to the Graduate School Office using school code 4487.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS Academic at 6.0 and the graduate page at 6.5.

Undergraduates can meet the requirement through language programmes instead of a test: 525 on the TOEFL ITP or a recommendation from the UM English Language Institute, completion of ELS Level 112, or Kaplan International's Higher Intermediate level.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Montana Tech programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
