On the same page IELTS Academic is 6.0 with no band under 5.5 against PTE 58, and 6.5 with no band under 5.5 against PTE 60. Minimums are effective from 12 February 2024 and may change with programme demand.

If you fall short
Niagara's English for Academic Preparation programme places you by level using a valid IELTS, Duolingo, TOEFL or PTE Academic result, or its own placement test. The page's planning chart puts PTE 43 to 50 at Level 4 and 51 to 57 at Level 5, and says placements can change in the first week of classes.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Niagara College programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
