NMU PTE minimums by level
From the international apply page and the international programs FAQ.
| Programme or band | PTE overall | Minimum per skill |
|---|---|---|
| Undergraduate | 50 | None stated |
| Graduate | Not listed | Not listed |
Test rules and how to send your score
The apply page says English test scores are valid for two years, must be valid on the start date of your studies, and must be sent directly from the testing company to NMU. It does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a Pearson institution code.
On the same page, IELTS is 6.0 overall for undergraduates, so PTE 50 is the PTE route to that level. Graduate applicants need IELTS 6.5 or one of the other listed tests.

If you fall short
The apply page also accepts completion of Level 112 at an ELS Language School, SAT or ACT scores, and US college credits that include English composition. It does not describe conditional admission on a lower PTE score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your NMU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
