What Duolingo score do you need for Ohio University?

The Graduate College says test scores are valid for two years and official scores must be reported from the testing agency directly to Ohio University. To be considered for university funding such as a graduate assistantship or scholarship, you must submit official scores and qualify for unconditional admission before a funding offer can be made.

Ohio law requires all teaching assistants to show English proficiency before taking on instructional duties, and the page says you must meet both the admission and the funding criteria before you can be considered for a TA. That is why the TA row asks 130 in speaking.

On the same graduate page, IELTS is 6.0 in every band for general admission, 6.5 in every band for funding, and 6.5 with 7.0 in speaking for a TA. Undergraduates need IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5.

Undergraduates who do not submit a qualifying score can choose to be admitted to the Ohio Program of Intensive English (OPIE) and apply for a change of level once they reach the required proficiency. Graduate students admitted without funding eligibility can gain it by completing recommended English courses or further testing, the Graduate College says.
