What Duolingo score do you need for Miami University?

The graduate page says test scores are valid for two years and must be valid at the time of application. Applicants must send an official Duolingo score report to Miami University - Oxford - Graduate Admission, the name the page tells you to use. Unofficial TOEFL, IELTS and PTE reports are accepted with the application, but unofficial Duolingo scores are not.

Graduate students admitted with an English test score must take the English Placement Test before registering, and the SPEAK test decides whether you take ACE 619. The page says students holding a graduate assistantship must have their spoken English assessed, under state law, before they can be given instructional duties.

On the same pages, IELTS is 6.5 for both direct undergraduate admission and the Graduate School, so the two tests sit at the same level for both.

The graduate bulletin says students with Duolingo scores between 90 and 109 can be considered for conditional admission to the ACE-G programme, with English study before academic study and a 3.00 average needed to progress. The Graduate School's application FAQ, however, says Miami does not offer conditional admission to applicants who cannot show English proficiency, so ask Graduate Admission which applies to you.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Miami programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
